Introduction

We are committed to protecting the personal data and privacy of the users of the fidei.email website and the services offered, including, by example, email, calendaring, and contact synchronization.

Fidei.email minimizes the customer data that we collect to the bare minimum necessary to provide services to our users.

The small amount of customer information we do collect is protected by technical and organizational measures that protect your data as best as possible.

Personal Data

All personal data is kept securely by us and protected from unauthorized access.

In order to use our services we collect the following personal information:

  • preexisting confirmed email address
  • name of customer

Once an account has been set-up it is possible for additional personal information to be updated in our system by our customers. This information is optional and is kept in the same secure manner as the information mentioned above. This information may include, but is not limited to the following:

  • full name
  • address
  • organization name

The scope of this voluntary information is to allow customers to customize their online accounts.

Billing and Payment Information

Fidei.email does not collect payment data ourselves. All payment data is handled through our third-party payment processors: Stripe and Square.

Fidei.email uses Square and Stripe as payment processors. Their respective privacy policies may be viewed here (Square) and here (Stripe).

Data Security

We use reasonable and appropriate physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to protect Personal Data from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction, taking into account the nature of the Personal Data and the risks involved in processing that information.

All transmission of data to and from our servers utilizes industry-standard encryption. Access to our servers is safeguarded by various industry-standard electronic and administrative mechanisms and is absolutely restricted to only those parties who must have access to provide our services and ensure their reliability.

Data Portability

Fidei.email utilizes only open-standards, including but not limited to: IMAP/SMTP, CalDAV, and CardDAV. As such, all of your data is readily portable to other services that utilize the same open standards without explicit permission, knowledge, or approval of Fidei.email.

Cookies

Beyond technical requirements for establishing a working session on our webmail, contacts and calendar interfaces, we do not use cookies.

Analytics

We do not collect email usage data for the purpose of user behavior analysis.

Our homepage implements basic analytics using a privacy-respecting and open-source tool called Plausible (https://plausible.io/). Unlike many popular analytics packages, ours does not track your behavior outside of our website. The very limited data that we collect is not personally identifiable and is simply used for us to know how many people visit our website and from where. Our analytics does not collect IP addresses at all.
